The CIS Center for
Student Support

Building for the Future

In 2023, Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County officially began the #AllInForKids capital campaign, a $5.5 million campaign to establish a permanent home and hub of support for school-based staff, along with CIS students and their families. The new Center for Student Support will address two critical service areas for students and staff: student support and staff training and professional development.

In the Mental Health Counseling Wing, social workers working towards their clinical licensure under CIS supervision will provide free, year-round counseling for students and families, including after school/work hours and weekends. With this expansion of services, we are better equipped to serve families who lack flexibility to attend sessions during school or who don’t have access to a CIS clinician at their campus.

The Center for Student Support also features a training and enrichment center to allow for community trainings for teachers, educators and the public at large, as well as continuing education classes for staff. There is also a food pantry, clothing closet, and supply room to meet basic needs for Tarrant County students and their families.
