Annual Giving -- Become a Legacy Builder!
Legacy Builders are those who choose to donate $1,000 or more a year to the CIS Annual Fund. The money donated directly funds CIS case management programs and allows CIS to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
I. Food Drive
Over 90% of the students we serve are on the free and reduced lunch program which means that, oftentimes, the only food they get is the food that's provided during school hours. This leaves a huge need during weekends and holidays. Several times a year, we provide students with meal bags containing everything necessary to keep a family of four well nourished for a week. If you are interested in holding a food drive for CIS students, please contact Melissa Edgerly at email@example.com for more information.
II. Supply Drive
Many families we serve in greater Tarrant County struggle financially and are unable to provide basic school supplies their children need to be successful. Throughout the year, CIS provides donated school supplies to the students who have the highest need. If you are interested in hosting a supply drive or adopting a school, please contact Melissa Edgerly at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The Mike Steele Foundation for Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County exists to provide perpetual funding for the important work of CIS. Investment earnings are used to support our programs, benefiting current and future students.
